Avengers: Endgame will mark Gwyneth Paltrows final MCU movie –

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she is planning for Avengers: Endgame to be her final MCU appearance as Pepper Potts.

Talking to Variety, Paltrow reflected on her time in the MCU, which started right at the beginning with 2008’s Iron Manalthough she’s not really had a major role since Iron Man 3.

“I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point,” she explained of her MCU future beyond Avengers: Endgame.

“I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked into it. I was friends with [Iron Man director] Jon Favreau. It was such a wonderful experience making the first Iron Man and then to watch how important it has become to fans.”

Avengers: Endgame is widely expected to mark the end of Robert Downey Jr’s time as Iron Man in the MCU, so it perhaps shouldn’t come as a surprise that it will be the last we see of Pepper too.

This doesn’t mean that either of them will be killed off though as Paltrow isn’t ruling out a cameo appearance in the future.

“I feel honoured to be a part of something that people are so passionate about,” she added. “Of course, if they said, ‘Can you come back for a day?’, I will always be there if they need me.”

Paltrow has already potentially spoiled just how Tony Stark and Pepper will leave the MCU, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens when the movie arrives.

Avengers: Endgame is released in UK cinemas on April 25 and US cinemas on April 26.
