Celebs Go Dating viewers won’t be seeing Katie Price on the new series after all.
The reality star had been set to appear with her boyfriend Kris Boyson on the E4 dating show later this year, but it looks like her previous engagements to another TV programme have caused problems for producers.
A spokesperson for Celebs Go Dating confirmed the couple’s departure from the new series, telling The Sun: “Lime Pictures contracted Katie and Kris to appear on Celebs Go Dating on the understanding that they were able to take part.
“Unfortunately it has come to light that by appearing in our show Katie will in fact be in breach of her contract with another TV production company. Katie and Kris will not now be a part of this year’s Celebs Go Dating series.”
Price and Boyson were set to feature in special Celebs Go Dating episodes, where the show’s dating experts Anna Williamson, Paul Carrick Brunson and Tom Read Wilson would provide relationship counselling.
When their casting was announced last week, Price expressed hopes that the show could get her rocky relationship with Boyson back on track.
“We’ve come to Paul and Anna to help us out because there are just too many people involved in our relationship,” Katie said at the time. “Too many chefs around and too many stories going on about us.”
Apparently, they’ll have to seek out counselling without cameras around! Celebs Go Dating will air on E4 later this year with former Love Island cast members Jack Fincham and Megan Barton Hanson, I’m a Celebrity star Lady Colin Campbell, TOWIE favourite Lauren Goodger and others.
