TV presenter and YouTube star Emily Hartridge has sadly passed away aged 35 after being involved in an electric scooter crash in South London.
The star, who was known for her lifestyle and health advice and also fronted Channel 4’s Oh Shit, I’m 30!, has since received a flood of tributes from the likes of Davina McCall and Calum Best.
The sad news was confirmed on Emily’s Instagram page, with a statement saying: “Hi everyone. This is a horrible thing to have to say over Instagram but we know many of you were expecting to see Emily today and this is the only way to contact you all at once.
“Emily was involved in an accident yesterday and passed away. We all loved her to bits and she will never be forgotten. She has touched so many lives it’s hard to imagine things without her. She was a very special person xxx.”
Since the news broke, McCall wrote on Instagram: “My heart goes out to Emily’s family and friends. Such a shock. Sending you love and prayers.”
Regarding the accident, a spokesperson for Scotland Yard told The Sun: “Police were called at 08:36hrs on Friday, 12 July to reports of an electric scooter being in collision with a lorry at Queenstown Road, junction with Battersea Park Road SW8.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. A woman in her 30s had suffered serious injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“Anyone who witnessed this incident, or has any dash cam footage is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 1979/12 June or Tweet @MetCC.”
